Scripted and managed a promotional animation for a permanent exhibition centered around Indonesia Batik textiles, apparel, and cultural artifacts.
Coordinated with animators and collaborated closely with museum staff to produce a compelling motion design narrative that integrated 10 remarkable artifacts from the collection of Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum.

Project Overview

This project is an animation designed to promote the special exhibition centered on Indonesia Batik, offering visitors to the National Palace Museum a concise overview of this unique Indonesian craft tradition. Batik is a traditional resist-dyeing technique from Indonesia that uses wax to create intricate patterns on fabric. Recognized as UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009, batik remains a significant cultural symbol, worn by Indonesians during pivotal life events such as births, weddings, and funerals.

The batik exhibition comprises three sections: 'Understanding Batik—The World of Painting and Dyeing', 'Central Java Batik—The Royal Classics', and 'North Coast Batik—A Rich Variety'. Our aim is to provide visitors with a brief insight into the techniques and pattern development of batik, offering a glimpse into Indonesia’s rich history and culture."
